A system and a method for offering a coupon using a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) system are provided to produce additional services linked with M(Mobile)-commerce by defining a new file format with extension of an MOT(Multiple Object Transfer) specification of the T(Terrestrial)-DMB and adding a specific header. A DMB system(10) provides broadcasting programs and MOT information including 'image/mcoupon' information. A mobile terminal(20) receives the broadcasting program and the MOT information from the DMB system through a broadcasting channel of the mobile network, analyzes a reception frequency expressed in the MOT information by analyzing the received MOT information, and displays 'image/mcoupon' data included in the MOT information according to the reception frequency of the broadcasting program while offering the received broadcasting program to a user. A barcode reading server(30) reads a barcode included in 'image/mcoupon' data displayed to the mobile terminal. |
