A method for confirming other broadcasting channels is provided to easily monitor other broadcasting channels by displaying video of other channels in PIP images and EPG information overlapped with the partial PIP images in a scrolled state while watching a current broadcast program as a main image. If a mode for confirming other broadcasting channels is set up in the middle of receiving a random broadcasting channel by controlling a first tuner, a microcomputer selects and receives a random broadcasting channel among other channels(S10-S12). A PIP generator converts video of a random broadcast program into a PIP image(S13). The microcomputer controls an OSD(On Screen Display) generator to output EPG information of the broadcasting channel(S14). It is judged whether a predetermined time passed(S15). If the mode for confirming other broadcasting channels is released, the microcomputer stops displaying the PIP image and EPG information, and executes an operation requested by a user(S16-S18).
