A method for controlling EPG information display is provided to easily search and confirm various broadcasting channels and broadcast program information on the basis of date and time which a user wants by displaying broadcasting channels and broadcast program information on the basis of broadcasting time information included in EPG information and then changing the broadcasting channels and broadcast program information on the basis of time information inputted by the user. A user requests to display an EPG(Electronic Program Guide) picture(S10). A microcomputer searches for and reads out EPG information stored in a memory(S11). The microcomputer configures an EPG picture with broadcasting channels and broadcast program information on the basis of broadcasting time(S12). The microcomputer displays the EPG picture with outputting an input window for simply inputting date and time the user wants(S13). If date or time is changed by the user, the microcomputer outputs the EPG information corresponding to the changed date and time(S14-S16). If EPG picture display is released by the user, the corresponding operation requested by the user is executed in a state that EPG picture display is stopped(S17-S18).
