COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS FOR PREVENTING AND CURING ACNE

An acne preventing and treating cosmetic composition is provided to show anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting 5-lipoxygenase activity and be safe to skin despite using it for a long time, thereby showing excellent acne preventive and therapeutic effect. The cosmetic composition for preventing and treating acne comprises 0.001-10.0 wt.% of an extract of Gynostemma pentaphyllum(Thunberg) Makino. The composition further comprises an extract of Cnidium officinale Makino. In the composition, the mixing ratio of the extract of Gynostemma pentaphyllum(Thunberg) Makino and the extract of Cnidium officinale Makino is 1:1.
