<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit various data independently of the structure and performance of an apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A home gateway 200 is an apparatus for transmitting information received from a doorphone slave unit to a plurality of apparatuses including a communication function. The home gateway 200 includes: a doorphone adaptor interface 201; a wireless communication circuit 210, a memory 222, a protocol circuit 207; and a CPU 221. The doorphone adaptor interface 201 receives information from the doorphone slave unit. The wireless communication circuit 210 makes communication with a plurality of apparatuses. The memory 222 stores a profile and a level. The protocol circuit 207 converts information of an image received from the doorphone slave unit in response to the profile and the level.
