<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve brightness efficiency and very high color reproducibility by effectively using a wavelength of a component to be cut by a color filter in an illumination device used for a liquid crystal display device or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This is a fluorescent film forming a phosphor layer in which phosphor particles mixed with a binder are applied on a translucent film base material. In these phosphor particles, the wavelength to be absorbed by the color filter has an excitation wavelength, and the emitting light wavelength is made to be in a region to be transmitted by the color filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
