摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication technology capable of accurately demodulating a symbol sequence even under a time-varying multi-path fading environment. SOLUTION: A communication method comprises: an STBC-coding step for dividing a transmit symbol sequence X into blocks and generating two mutually orthogonal symbol sequences X<SB>n</SB><SP>A</SP>and X<SB>n</SB><SP>B</SP>based on a symbol sequence X<SB>n</SB>of each block; a transmitting step for modulating each of the symbol sequences X<SB>n</SB><SP>A</SP>and X<SB>n</SB><SP>B</SP>by an OFDM system and transmitting it by a transmitter diversity system; an OFDM demodulating step for demodulating a receive signal by applying discrete Fourier transform thereto, and generating a receive symbol sequence R<SB>n</SB>; and an STBC demodulating step for demodulating a symbol sequence X<SB>n</SB>' of each block by using a receive symbol sequence R<SB>n</SB>for an inverse matrix H<SP>-1</SP>of a transfer function matrix H, constituted based on a transfer function estimated for each block and for each sub-carrier by a prescribed estimation method, and by which the receive symbol sequence R<SB>n</SB>is related to the symbol sequence X<SB>n</SB>.
