PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component-replacement technology which is applied in response to the signs and occurrences of obstacles, generates no errors, and keeps its performance. SOLUTION: Alternative components and conditions which indicate occurrences of obstacles are preliminarily defined for each component, and whether the conditions are established is determined based on the results of monitoring a state of each component and a state of an operation base itself. When conditions of a component A are established, the entity of an alternative component As is generated on an application operation base, the pair of the interface of the entity and the name As which uniquely identifies the entity is registered with a name server, and then the interface part of the name A of a currently operating component is replaced with that of the name As of a newly registered component by means of the replacement function of the name server. Then, the interface of the entity of the alternative component As can be obtained with the name A, and a communication destination is replaced so that communication to the component A may be transmitted to the alternative component As.
