PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional defrosting controller for a freezer-refrigerator that defrosting control rises the temperature in the refrigerator and give foods bad effects because the same defrosting control as the normal refrigeration cycle is conducted even when a cooler is not frosted owing to degrading of a cooling system and refrigerant leakage and the like. SOLUTION: The defrosting controller is equipped with a current carrying time counter 14 of a defrosting heater and a first current carrying time judging means 17 and, in the case that the defrosting heat current carrying time during defrosting control is equal to or shorter than a set time (for example, ten minutes), it is possible to conduct following defrosting control which starts after operating refrigeration cycle twice.
