PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning material for packaging capable of absorbing a large shock generally used for various kinds of articles, and inexpensively manufacturing by a mass-production method, and a suspended air packaging method using the cushioning material. SOLUTION: The cushioning material 11 for packaging holds the article A to be packaged in suspension by at least two opposed flexible film. The flexible film is overlapped and the peripheral edge is closed by thermal welding. The article A to be packaged is held suspended by a slit S by a notch formed between a bag 12 holding the article A to be packaged, and a cushioning part 13 which is provided on the peripheral edge of the bag 12 and filled with gas. The cushioning material for packaging can be automatically manufactured of one piece of sheet in large quantities and can be extremely inexpensively manufactured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
