The invention relates to a novel isolated recombinant plasmid comprising the pSB102 Tra region, or comprising the mob/rep regions of RSF1010 or pTF-FC2. The invention further relates to a cell comprising such a plasmid, to methods for gene transfer utilizing such cells and to methods for producing derivatives of a compound obtained by biosynthesis or for producing an enzyme.
