The profile has a base section for fastening in a retainer section of a bumper. The base section is connected with a sealing boot. An attachment wing/web (15) is fixed at a retainer chamber wall for lateral support against tilting of the installation positions. The web abuts in the sheeting space of the motor vehicle, where the web has openings, which enable a stationary fixation with fixing units such as screws. An independent claim is also included for a kit comprising a profile for retaining an optical sensor strip.
