An elastic ring (50) is engaged in positioning groove (40) of rod assembly (20) of a tool, such that ring expansively abuts against inner wall of tool handle (30). The handle is pulled in direction away from drive end (22) of assembly, till the ring expansively engages to locking groove (60) of handle, enabling length of tool to be adjusted and saving turning force applied on handle for locking/unlocking workpiece.
