<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the driving device and a driving method of a passive matrix type display panel, for applying a reverse bias voltage, while reducing the circuit scale of a scanning driver. <P>SOLUTION: The driving device of the passive matrix type display panel, in which a light emitting element is connected between each of scanning lines K1 to Km and each of data lines A1 to An, comprises: a scanning driver 3 for applying scanning selection potential to a scanning line to a scanning object; and a data driver 2 for supplying a light emitting driving current to a data line to be a light emission driving object. Each of scanning switches Sk1 to Skm in the scanning driver 3 is composed of an analog switch which is switched ON or OFF to a scanning selection potential point (ground potential). Also, a non-scanning selection potential (a reverse bias voltage to a light emitting element) VKH is supplied to the plurality of scanning lines which are not to be scanned in the scanning lines via one resistor element R1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
