<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism carrier aggregate for water treatment which has good workability because the microorganism carrier for the water treatment is prevented from dispersing when charged into a septic tank, which has reduced volume when packaged, and whose microorganism carrier quickly submerges in the water to be treated when charged therein because the carrier has excellent water absorbency. <P>SOLUTION: The microorganism carrier aggregate for the water treatment is made by compressing the microorganism carrier 11 for the water treatment made of a soft synthetic resin foam having pores communicating with each other, and by solidifying the compacted carrier with a binder. The microorganism carrier aggregate compressed and solidified with the binder crumbles away when charged into the water to be treated, and the microorganism carrier falls as under as it originally was.
