PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic information encryption system capable of effectively preventing leakage or theft of confidential electronic information. SOLUTION: A plurality of encryption definition information attached with an identification code are registered in an encryption definition region 13, the encryption definition information to be in use is assigned to each of encryption information regions 36a, 36b on which encryption information files can be recorded. When electronic information is encrypted, the assigned encryption definition information is used, the identification code of the encryption definition information in use for the encryption information file obtained by the encryption is recorded. In decryption, the encryption definition information is particularized on the basis of the identification code recorded on the encryption definition information and decryption processing is applied to the encryption definition information.
