PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient attraction onto a vibrator of a target material in a wide range, and to extend the range of a measured material by this, in detecting the target material based on variation in vibration state of the vibrator by attraction of the target material. SOLUTION: The material detector 1 is provided with a vibrator 2, and an electrostatic attraction film 3A having attraction capacity of the charged target material 20. The target material is detected based on the variation in vibration state of the vibrator 2 by attraction of the target material 20 to the electrostatic attraction film 3A.
