PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray inspection system which is capable of preventing an X-ray leakage preventing member from being worn due to the repetitive contact of corner parts and side edge parts of boxes housing articles during their transfer or peripheral edge parts of the articles, and which enables the boxes and the articles to push aside the X-ray leakage preventing member and pass smoothly. SOLUTION: An X-ray shielding part 31 hung over a transfer inlet and a transfer outlet in a shield box for covering the transfer inlet, and the transfer outlet is constituted of soft members 35-35 at both the right and the left ends and approximately at the center and metal members 36 and 36 adjacent on both the right and the left sides of the soft members 35. In this case, the metal members 36 and 36 are arranged at positions with which front corner parts of an article G, which houses an article in a box Y having the upper surface that opens, to come into contact and both the side edge parts slide into contact. A rubber material containing lead is used for the soft member 35, and stainless steel that is slightly thinner in thickness than the rubber material is used for the metal member 36.
