PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a laminate having mold release paper with a release margin by which discharge of refuse and the number of production steps are reduced as compared with those of conventional methods and the yield is remarkably improved. SOLUTION: The method for producing the laminate having the mold release paper with the release margin in which a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is provided in a part of at least the end on a substrate and the release margin is provided on the outside of the substrate in an upper layer thereof comprises successively carrying out the following steps; (1) a step of applying a double-sided tape composed of at least the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and the mold release paper to an optional site on the substrate; (2) a step of cutting out the substrate and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the double-sided tape from the surface of the substrate opposite to the surface having the double-sided tape so as not to cut the mold release paper; and (3) a step of releasing and removing the substrate and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the double-sided tape from the mold release paper.
