<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a γ-aminobutyric acid highly containing composition by using asparagus that includes a large amount of γ-aminobutyric acid as a raw material to produce a γ-aminobutyric acid highly including composition efficiently through simple operations. <P>SOLUTION: Asparagus and/or asparagus extracted solution are treated under an environment of 10°C to 50°C for 1 minute to 15 days to enrich γ-aminobutyric acid thereby producing the composition highly including γ-aminobutyric acid. Preferably, at least one selected from glutamic acid, glutamate salt, pyridoxal phosphate salt, and pyridoxine hydrochloride is added, when the γ-aminobutyric acid is enriched, and more preferably, an asparagus extracted solution is filtrated through a filter with a pore diameter of 1.0 μm or less is used for the composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
