<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the tone control apparatus which can respond quickly to a level variation of an audio signal. <P>SOLUTION: The tone control apparatus comprises a LPF1 for extracting a lower register from an input audio signal, a HPF2 for extracting an upper register from the input audio signal, a bass boost circuit 3 for performing dynamic range expansion/compression for an audio signal of the lower register extracted by the LPF1 according to the input level thereof, a treble boost circuit 4 for performing dynamic range expansion/compression for an audio signal of the upper register extracted by the HPF2 according to the input level thereof, and an adder 8 for adding the input audio signal, an audio signal outputted from the bass boost circuit 3 and an audio signal outputted from the treble boost circuit 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
