<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal catalyst deposited on a carbon nanotube, by which the metal catalyst can be fixed easily on the inside of the carbon nanotube and to provide the metal catalyst the activity of which is not deteriorated owing to the dissolution of a metal. <P>SOLUTION: When the metal catalyst deposited on the carbon nanotube is manufactured by fixing the metal catalyst in the carbon nanotube, an opening and a defective part are formed on the surface of the carbon nanotube by oxidizing the carbon nanotube by using nitric acid or the like, a precursor substance (an acac complex etc.) of the metal catalyst is introduced into the carbon nanotube through the formed opening and the metal catalyst is fixed in the carbon nanotube. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
