<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sterilizing spices, cereal grains and food raw materials without damaging their quality by generating a low temperature plasma under a vacuum only by supplying oxygen, excellent in sterilizing effect more than those of conventional sterilizing treatments and capable of securing the safety of the food raw materials. <P>SOLUTION: This method of sterilizing by the low temperature plasma is provided by generating a regular low temperature plasma 17 under a reduced pressure in a state of flowing only oxygen gas 11 by a prescribed flow rate in an oven of a plasma reactor tube 1 and sterilizing and removing bacteria such as microorganisms attached on the surface of the raw materials to be sterilized such as spices 4, etc., housed in a container 3 arranged in a generated low temperature plasma atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
