PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensation amplifier monitoring a distortion component all the time without cutting off a signal, and keeping linearity. SOLUTION: The distortion compensation amplifier comprises: a distortion generating circuit (1); an amplifier (2) connected to the distortion generating circuit; a circulator (3) connected to the amplifier; a band pass filter (4) connected to a pass side of the circulator and including an output terminal; a band removing filter (5) connected to other terminal of the circulator; a direct conversion type frequency converter (6) connected to the band removing filter; a high-pass filter (7) connected to the frequency converter; a power detector (8-1) connected to the high-pass filter; and a control circuit (9) to which a detection power detected by the power detector is input. The distortion generating circuit is controlled by the control circuit to compensate the non-linear distortion of the amplifier. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
