PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray generator and an irradiation unit capable of simplifying maintenance work. SOLUTION: This irradiation unit 3 having an X-ray tube and a voltage generation part is so structured as to be detachably attached to a unit attachment part 34, whereby attachment and detachment of the irradiation unit 3 is facilitated; when trouble such as the end of life of the X-ray tube or a failure of the voltage generation part occurs, the irradiation unit 3 can be replaced or detached in a short time.
