PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material expressing sufficiently high electroconductivity even when suppressed in the compounding ratio of a vapor deposition carbon fiber and improvable in sliding properties of the surface of a formed product. SOLUTION: The composite material comprises a plastic as a matrix, the vapor deposition carbon fiber and a powdery resin dispersed in the matrix. The vapor deposition carbon fiber has 0.1-0.5μm diameter, 100-3000 aspect ratio and 0.02-0.15g/cc bulk density and included in the composite material in 5-30wt.%. The powdery resin is one or more species selected from powdery fluorine resins, powdery polyacetal resins and powdery polyamide resins, has 0.5-500μm average particle size and included in the composite material in 5-50 wt.%.
