<p>On a mobile wireless network, where synchronous and non-synchronous base stations are coexistent, in a case where a base station detects can detect reference signals, which correspond to information of handover destination base station candidates and which are transmitted from the base station candidates at given intervals, and performs detection of the same base station candidates again after an integral multiple of that interval has passed since the foregoing detection, the base station provides a mobile station with effective time information that is indicative of an effective time, which is dependent on each of the base station candidates and which ensures the detection of a signal from each base station candidate, or indicative of an index to be used for allowing the mobile station to derive that effective time. The mobile station establishes, based on the effective time information, a period of detection of signals from the base station candidates, and then performs the detection.</p> |
