<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of improving cycle characteristics by improving charge and discharge efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: This is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte, and lithium metal is used as a negative electrode active material, and the electrolyte contains a solvent containing 4-fluoro-1,3-dioxolane-2-on and a halogenated carbonic ester expressed by a general formula (1).
