PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disaster recovery (DR) method and system, capable of keeping online performance of a primary site without being influenced by a line usage rate, and detecting deletion of data by a remote copy function used. SOLUTION: The remote copy function is switched to synchronous transfer or asynchronous transfer according to increase and decrease of response time needed for the remote copy function between storage devices.
