PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nonionic alkylene oxide-based resin, exhibiting desired characteristics as a useful polymer material when used for color filter protective films, resist materials, separator for polymer cells, electrodes, polyelectrolytes, etc. SOLUTION: The method for producing the nonionic alkylene oxide-based resin comprises a step for obtaining a nonionic alkylene oxide-based resin having <7,000 ppm water content and a step for packing the nonionic alkylene oxide-based resin obtained by the step into a storage container, and the method comprises controlling atmosphere so that the water content of the nonionic alkylene oxide-based resin keeps a desired water content of <7,000 ppm or adding water so that the water content of the nonionic alkylene oxide-based resin becomes a desired water content of <7,000 ppm, while the nonionic alkylene oxide-based resin is packed into the storage container after obtaining the resin.
