PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manually store a sliding member by a simple mechanism at the time of emergency such as a failure of a drive means in a slide device for projecting and storing a sliding member by the drive of the drive means. SOLUTION: This slide device comprises a sliding member 2, a drive means 4 thereof, a cam member 3 engaged with the sliding member 2 and rotating and acting by the drive of the drive means 4 so as to project and store the sliding member 2, and an operation means 5 engageable with the cam member 3 and capable of rotating the cam member 3 by the action of an external force to the sliding member 2 by canceling an engagement state with the cam member 3 by a manual operation. The operation means 5 comprises an operation lever 51 and an engagement lever 53 connected with the operation lever 51 holding the cam member 3 in an engagement state at the time of projecting the sliding member 2 by the drive of the drive means 4, and canceling the engagement state to the cam member 3 by rotation interlinked with the manual operation of the operation lever 51.
