<p>The chair is suspended from the ceiling or any other suitable strong object and held by cotton ropes. The new design of a height adjusting mechanism comprises two wooden triangles with steel reinforcing plates at the inner sides and three threaded bars transversally positioned between them. Steel sleeves keep the plates at the appropriate distance from one another. The rope is guided around a wedge (h6) with two corrugated surfaces (S9) connected to the outer units with a pin sliding in a vertical slot.</p> |
