<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup apparatus having excellent shock resistance and suitable for a mobile product. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup apparatus is provided with a light source for generating an optical beam, an objective lens for irradiating an optical disk for recording and reproducing information with the optical beam, a rotatable optical element arranged in an optical path between the light source and the objective lens, a supporting shaft for rotatably supporting the optical element, and a driving mechanism for rotationally driving the optical element; where the optical element is fitted to the supporting shaft so that the center of gravity of the optical element aligns with the supporting shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
