<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an option for a developing device that is designed such that prevention of developer stay and improved dispersibility are ensured, prevention of developer stay and improved dispersibility in a vertical direction facing a developing roller are also ensured, nonuniform image density is prevented and uniform image quality is accordingly obtained, and that is used in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, facsimile, or printer, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes a first conveying screw 3 and second conveying screw 4 parallel to the developing roller 2 and circulates/conveys the two-component developer, composed of toner and carrier, while stirring it. In the developing device, a magnet shaft 3a with a magnet attached thereto is fixedly disposed within the first conveying screw 3, which rotates as a sleeve in the form of a screw, and a magnet shaft 4a with magnets 4e attached to both its ends is fixedly disposed within the second conveying screw 4, which rotates as a sleeve in the form of a screw. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
