METHOD FOR PLAYING INTERACTIVE OPTICAL DISK USING COMMUNICATION NETWORK, RECORDING METHOD, RECORDING/PLAYING METHOD AND RECORDING/PLAYING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for playing out A/V data recorded on an optical disk such as an interactive DVD utilizing provided contents information by providing not only various content information related to the A/V data but also latest content information from a remote server through a communication network before playing back the A/V data on the disk.

SOLUTION: Regarding a method for playing an interactive optical disk utilizing a communication network, various contents related information related to A/V data on an optical disk like an interactive DVD are downloaded from a content provider server linked and connected through the Internet and stored into an apparatus. While utilizing the stored data read and reproduced from the interactive optical disk, the A/V data and new content information received from the server are synchronously presented, thereby doubling pleasure of viewing and listening moving video images recorded on the disk.
