<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the irregularity of a plated film, which occurs in an electrolytic plating step performed after pattern exposing and developing steps for a photosensitive material made from silver halide; a translucent and electroconductive film with uniformity, high electroconductivity and high translucency, prepared by the method, in particular, an electromagnetic-wave shielding film; and a picture display unit equipped with them. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the translucent and electroconductive film comprises the steps of: applying the black-and-white photosensitive material of silver halide, which has at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer including an emulsion layer of silver halide, onto a substrate; developing the material to form a metallic silver part on the substrate; and subsequently electrolytically plating the metallic silver part with a metal, while preventing a liquid level from changing when the developed photosensitive material is immersed in a plating solution. An apparatus therefor is also provided. The translucent and electroconductive film, the translucent electromagnetic-wave shielding film and the picture display unit equipped with them are produced by using the method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
