摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphic rendering device that can quickly render a thick line free from gaps at connection points of short segments by simple computation when rendering a thick curve by a forward difference method. SOLUTION: The graphic rendering device comprises a preprocessing part 1 for inputting information on a curve and calculating initial parameters of a rendering start position of a thick curve having a line width, a curve segmentation part 2 for identifying the curve rendered by the curve information and segmenting the curve into short segments from the rendering start position by the initial parameters to calculate coordinates of the endpoints of each short segment, a connecting normal decision part 3 for deciding normals at the connection points of the short segments according to endpoints of each short segment calculated by the curve segmentation part 2 and sequentially calculating points on the normals located on contours of the thick curve, and a thick line generation part 4 for generating rendering data of the thick curve according to each point located on the contours of the thick curve calculated by the connecting normal decision part 3.
