PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time until a polygon motor (an optical scanning means) reaches steady rotation after power is turned on, and thereby to minimize a user's waiting time. SOLUTION: After power of an apparatus is turned on and a reset signal of a write controller 6 is released, a CPU 12 reads a program from a ROM 13 to launch software, and at the same time, a set value to decide the number of revolutions of the polygon motor 4 and data to drive an LD2 are loaded from a nonvolatile memory 11 to a register of a write control ASIC 1. The write control ASIC 1 drives the polygon motor 4 with the loaded set value, and operates the LD2. When launching of the software is completed, the CPU 12 drives the polygon motor 4 according to the program read from the ROM 13, and controls the LD2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
