PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device enabling reduction of its space occupancy even when a pixel switching element is constituted of two non-linear elements electrically connected in parallel with reversed polarity, and to provide an electronic equipment equipped with the electrooptical device. SOLUTION: On an element substrate of the electrooptical equipment, a data line 2 (a first upper electrode 53), a first lower electrode 51, a second upper electrode 54, and a second lower electrode 52 are arranged approximately in the form of a double cross. In the overlapping area of the first lower electrode 51 and the data line 2 and in the overlapping area of the second lower electrode 52 and the second upper electrode 54, a first non-linear element 5a and a second non-linear element 5b are formed.
