PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder which can make the amount of ink delivery nearly constant and then suppress the color variation of recording image by controlling the temperature of an ink in a recording head within the set range. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder is equipped with a temperature control means for controlling a heating means of the recording head based on a temperature-difference information concerning the difference between the temperature of the ink in the recording head and the temperature of the ink supplied to the recording head and an ink-amount information concerning the ink amount required for recording that is computed from the image data of a predetermined area.
