PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor capable of attaching a sensor magnet to the attachment portion of a rotating shaft with no excessive looseness in an inexpensive manner without changing the shapes of the sensor magnet and its surrounding members. SOLUTION: The rotating shaft 9 mounts a D-shaped cross-section attachment portion 9a and the sensor magnet 12 installs a D-shaped cross-section mounting slot 12a corresponding to the attachment section 9a. The sensor magnet 12 has a polarization portion to facilitate attraction to a plane portion 9b of the attachment portion 9a on a predetermined area including the plane portion 12b of the mounting slot 12a.
