PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver which has stable receiving characteristics by suppressing the occurrence of error in an output signal of a demodulation section even if a field strength of a high frequency signal is strong. SOLUTION: An amplification/attenuation section 3 amplifies or attenuates an inputted high frequency signal and transmits the signal to a tuner section 6 and a demodulation section 7. A control section 4 switches application or cutoff of a power supply voltage to or from the amplification/attenuation section 3 in accordance with the strength of the high frequency signal outputted from the amplification/attenuation section 3. The amplification/attenuation section 3 is comprised of a low-noise amplifier, for example, and by cutting off the power supply voltage, a finite passing loss is given. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
