PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device capable of performing stable paper feeding also with respect to various types of sheets with different flexibility. SOLUTION: This sheet feeding device is provided with a paper feeding tray 1 for stacking sheets S; a paper feeding roller 2 for feeding the sheets S stacked on the paper feeding tray 1; a separation pad 4 for separating the sheets S fed by the paper feeding roller 2 one by one; a separation spring 4b pressing the separation pad 4 against the paper feeding roller 2; and a push-up part 6 abutting on the sheets S when the separation pad 4 is moved by pressing the separation pad 4 by tip parts of the fed sheets S with predetermined amount or more of force, and pushing up the sheet tip parts with respect to the separation pad 4.
