PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection device, screen box device and projection method, capable of projecting various images inside or outside a vehicle. SOLUTION: This projection device includes: a projection section 11 for projecting projection light according to input video signals; a housing section B for storing the projection section; a connection section 16 for connecting the housing section to a ceiling C inside the vehicle; a transmission screen member for displaying images by irradiating with the projection light from the projection section; and a screen section S1 for irradiating the outside of the housing section with projection light by dismounting the screen member off the course of the projection light in a selective manner or removably taking off the screen member out of the housing section.
