PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe rice cooker even in the case that the inside of a container is pressurized in the state that a steam discharge port is clogged or the like. SOLUTION: A tongue piece 80 is formed so as to seal lid packing 49 on the inner side part of a pot 11. Also, a projected part 77 toward the inner center of the pot 11 is provided on the upper inner side part of the pot 11, and a projection amount change part 82 is formed as a part of a different projection amount at the projected part 77 to which the tongue piece 80 is abutted. At the projection amount change part 82 where the projection amount is smaller than the other in the pot 11, the adhesion of the lid packing 49 and the pot 11 is easily destroyed when the inside of the pot 11 is abnormally pressurized.
