The invention relates to a device for producing a slush skin, said device comprising a heatable tool (12) which determines the contour (30) and surface structure of the slush skin. To this end, a spray device (10) or a spin-on deposition device is arranged in the vicinity of the heatable tool (12) or on the same, and used to supply a powder and produce a slush skin that follows the contour (30) of the tool and reflects the surface structure of the tool on the side thereof facing the tool (12). The invention also relates to a method which is carried out by the inventive device, according to which a powder is dosed in a spray device (10) or a spin-on deposition device and is sprayed or projected onto the heatable tool (12) and partially gelated to form a slush skin.
