METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE PERFORMANCE OF A ROASTING MACHINE FOR BACKING IRON ORE PELLETS

The invention relates to processing a metallurgical raw material for ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to producing iron ore pellets exhibiting different properties in a roasting machine. The inventive method is based on a machine limited area concept and applies a mathematical model for a pellet backing production process. Said method consists in determining the roasting machine limiting production area by means of a mathematical model. The maximum hourly capacity of the machine is adjusted according to certain operating parameters of the limiting area and required and sufficient working parameters which guarantee the limiting area working efficiency are determined by means of the mathematical model, thereby making it possible to obtain the best technical and economic parameters of the roasting machine during the production of the pellets exhibiting specified properties.
