A method for transmitting a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) invitation message and a mobile terminal thereof are provided to automatically output the digital multimedia broadcast of a broadcasting channel contained in a DMB invitation message, which a user sends to the user of another mobile terminal to invite him/her to watch the digital multimedia broadcast, when he/she confirms the message and pushes an acceptance key. A control part in a mobile terminal, if key input for requesting the transmission of a DMB invitation message occurs, checks whether the mobile terminal is providing a digital multimedia broadcast at present(S1,S10). If the mobile terminal is providing a digital multimedia broadcast at present, the control part displays a screen to change the present broadcasting channel number into another broadcasting channel number(S20). Then the control part checks whether the present broadcasting channel number is changed into another broadcasting channel number(S30). If the present broadcasting channel number is changed into another broadcasting channel number, the control part creates a DMB invitation message containing the changed broadcasting channel number and a broadcasting identifier(S40). If the DMB invitation message is created, the control part displays a screen to input message contents(S170). If the user inputs desired message contents, the control part inserts the inputted contents in the DMB invitation message(S180). |
