An apparatus and a method for displaying an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) of a mobile terminal are provided to allow a user to enjoy music through a remote controller and easily check the speech quality of a mobile terminal through an RSSI displayed on the remote controller. A mobile terminal checks whether it is in a Bluetooth remote controller mode for enabling a user to enjoy music or perform call communication through a Bluetooth remote controller by using a Bluetooth communication method(201). When the mobile terminal is in the Bluetooth remote controller mode, the mobile terminal wirelessly transmits a measured RSSI to the Bluetooth remote controller according to the Bluetooth communication method(203). The Bluetooth remote controller displays an RSSI based on the received RSSI information according to the Bluetooth communication method(205).
