An image forming apparatus is provided to use an option rack including a cover member covering an option circuit board, thereby preventing risk of an electric shock if a user contacts with the option circuit board. A main body includes a main circuit board. An option rack(200) is formed of an option circuit board(220) combined with the main circuit board to transmit a signal, and a cover member covering the option circuit board. An option rack containing unit is formed at the main body for containing the option rack to be detachably mounted at the main circuit board. The cover member includes a lower cover(230) mounted at a lower side of the option circuit board for containing the option circuit board and a predetermined ground(225), and an upper cover(210) mounted at a top side of the option circuit board and combined with the lower cover.
